Terms of Use
Last updated: October 5, 2026
In short: Trip Motion turns the trips you plan into map videos. Your trips and videos belong to you. Pro is optional and sold through Apple. Routes in the App are illustrations, not directions. This summary is for convenience only; the full terms below apply.
1. Agreement
By downloading or using Trip Motion ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms") with Dijital Kafa Bilisim ve Danismanlik A.S. ("we", "us", "our"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms apply together with Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple Standard EULA"). If they conflict on your license to use the App, the Apple Standard EULA applies. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.
If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the App only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
2. The App
Trip Motion lets you plan a trip on a map, choose a vehicle and style for each leg, and export an animated video of your route. Some features are free. Others need Trip Motion Pro (Section 7).
We may add, change or remove features, vehicles, map styles and other content at any time, including content offered for a limited time.
3. Routes are illustrations, not directions
- Routes, distances and positions in the App are approximations made for a video. Road routes come from a third-party routing service. Rail and sea legs use simplified built-in map data, and air legs are drawn as arcs. They can be inaccurate or incomplete.
- Do not use the App for navigation or for decisions about your safety or travel.
- Do not use the App while you are driving or operating a vehicle.
4. Your trips and videos
- You own the content you create, such as trip names, stop names and the videos you export. The materials of ours and of third parties that appear in your videos remain ours or theirs (Sections 5, 6 and 8).
- Your trips and videos are stored only on your device. We do not receive them and cannot recover them if they are lost. To keep a video safe, save it to your photo library.
- You are responsible for the content you create and share. Do not use the App to create or share content that is unlawful, that infringes the rights of others, or that reveals another person's home or whereabouts without their consent.
5. Map data and other third-party content
- Maps and place data in the App come from third parties, currently Apple Maps, together with public-domain geographic data from Natural Earth. These materials belong to their providers and remain subject to their terms.
- You must not remove, hide or alter map attributions and legal notices in the App or in your videos.
- You may share the videos you create for personal, non-commercial purposes, for example on social media and in messages. You may not extract the map imagery from a video and use it on its own. You may not use videos for commercial purposes, such as advertising or paid products, unless the terms of the map provider allow it.
6. The Trip Motion badge
- Videos exported with the free version show the Trip Motion name and logo ("the badge"). With Trip Motion Pro, you can turn the badge off.
- You may share videos that carry the badge, as allowed in Section 5. Keep the badge as the App placed it. Do not remove, crop out, blur, cover or alter it, except by turning it off with Trip Motion Pro.
- The badge shows only that the video was made with Trip Motion. It does not mean that we made, checked or endorse your video, and you may not present it that way.
- The Trip Motion name and logo belong to us. Apart from the badge in your videos, you may not use them, for example in your own product names, logos or advertising, without our written permission.
- We may change the design, size or position of the badge in future versions of the App.
7. Trip Motion Pro
7.1 Free and Pro features
With the free version you can plan trips and export videos. Free videos carry the Trip Motion badge (Section 6). Pro includes, for example, the option to export videos without the badge, every vehicle and higher-resolution export. The current Pro features and prices are shown in the App before you buy.
7.2 Subscriptions
- Pro may be offered as auto-renewing subscriptions (for example weekly, monthly or yearly) and as a one-time lifetime purchase. The available options and their prices are shown in the App before purchase. Prices may vary by country.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone, or by tapping Manage subscription in the App's settings. When you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- If a free trial is offered, its length is shown before you start it. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- If a subscription price changes, Apple informs you in advance and, where required, asks for your consent.
7.3 Lifetime purchase
A lifetime purchase is a one-time payment. It unlocks the Pro features of the App for as long as we offer the App, on devices signed in with the same Apple Account. It does not guarantee that the App or any particular feature will be available forever.
7.4 Restoring purchases
If you reinstall the App or use a new device, tap Restore purchases in the App's settings or on the Pro screen.
7.5 Refunds
Apple sells and processes all purchases. We cannot issue refunds ourselves. To request a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple handles your statutory rights as the seller, including any right of withdrawal under the laws of your country.
8. Our rights and your license
- We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- The App, including its design, vehicle models, graphics, animations, brand and code, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Fonts and open-source components are used under their own licenses.
- Except as the law allows, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, decompile or reverse engineer the App, or create derivative works from it.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- remove or alter the Trip Motion badge other than as allowed in Section 6;
- remove, hide or alter map attributions;
- bypass purchase checks or unlock Pro features without paying;
- send automated or excessive requests to the services the App connects to, or extract their data;
- use the App for any unlawful purpose.
10. Availability
The App relies on services that we do not control, such as Apple Maps, the routing service, the App Store and RevenueCat. Features may be unavailable, change or stop working at any time. Some features may require you to install an update.
11. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that routes, distances and map data will be accurate.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, videos, profits or goodwill arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for all claims relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App and Pro in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms affects your mandatory rights as a consumer.
13. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate us for claims, losses and reasonable costs, including reasonable legal fees, that arise because content you create or share with the App infringes the rights of others or breaks the law, or because you breach these Terms. This does not apply where the claim is caused by our own fault. If you are a consumer, this section applies only as far as the mandatory laws of your country allow.
14. Termination
You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it. If you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, we may end your license to use the App. Sections 4, 5, 6, 8, 11, 12, 13, 17 and 18 continue to apply after termination.
15. App Store terms
- These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the App and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
- If the App fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the App, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection claims and claims that the App infringes the intellectual property rights of others.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that the U.S. Government has designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- When you use the App, you must also comply with the terms of any third party that applies, such as your mobile carrier.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. When you accept these Terms, Apple has the right to enforce them against you.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we change the "Last updated" date above. If we make significant changes, we will also announce them in the App or in the App Store release notes. If you continue to use the App after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. The courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul have jurisdiction over disputes. For consumers in Turkey, consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts are competent within the limits set by law.
If you are a consumer living outside Turkey, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence. Where those laws allow it, you can also bring a claim in the courts of your country.
18. General
If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. If we do not enforce a right, we do not waive it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours to a successor that continues to offer the App. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Apple Standard EULA, are the entire agreement between you and us about the App.
