What does Trip Motion do?
Trip Motion turns a trip into a 3D map video. You add your stops, pick a ride for each leg and share. The route is animated over a 3D globe or a 2D map, and the video is rendered right on your phone.
Is Trip Motion free?
Yes. You can make and share videos for free in 720p with 7 rides and a small Trip Motion badge. Trip Motion Pro unlocks every ride, 1080p and 4K export, and videos without the badge. Rides are never sold one by one.
Which devices does Trip Motion run on?
Trip Motion is an app for iPhone and iPad (iOS and iPadOS).
Does the route follow real roads?
Yes. Cars and buses follow real roads, trains run along real rail lines, ferries sail sea routes and stay off the land, and planes fly curved arcs that take off and land.
Can each leg of the trip use a different ride?
Yes. Each leg gets its own ride, and when you switch rides at a stop the swap plays on the map. There are 166 rides, including planes, trains, ferries, cars, campers, bikes, yachts, balloons and a rocket.
What map styles and cameras are available?
Four map styles: Muted, Standard, Satellite and Hybrid, on a 3D globe or a 2D map. Three cameras: North up, Behind the vehicle, and World view that opens on the globe.
Which video formats can I export?
9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Stories, plus 1:1 and 16:9. Videos run from 6 to 60 seconds. Free exports are 720p; Pro adds 1080p and 4K.
What appears on the map besides the route?
City names as you arrive, flags and country outlines on the globe, a distance counter for every leg in kilometers or miles, and a finale for the whole trip.
Which languages is the app in?
13 languages: English, Deutsch, Français, Español, Italiano, Português, 日本語, 한국어, Türkçe, Svenska, Norsk, Dansk, Suomi.
